Live & Local helps volunteers to choose and promote professional performances for their local community venue.
A professional office team supports local voluntary organisations by helping them to choose shows, and by co-ordinating the bookings, subsidising performances and providing support and advice to help them to attract an audience.
A Live & Local night out is quality, affordable, memorable and uplifting live entertainment. The events play an important part in the social life of the communities, bringing people together and enriching community life. The scheme can be a catalyst for community development as local volunteers are always active partners in the work.
It is all made possible because of finanical support from local authorities along with other regional and national arts funding bodies; but it happens because of the support and enthusiasm of local volunteers and their communities.
‘Live and Local bring high quality performances to our remote village hall, and by doing so, enrich and energise village life.’ Live & Local Promoter
