Lockbusters brings free film to Warwickshire communities.
What is LockBusters?
LockBusters brings films into local communities in a safe way for free. A main contact ensures that DVDs are passed around rural communities in Warwickshire and viewers share their thoughts on the DVDs with others via a community notebook and the official LockBusters website – lockbusters.uk
How does it work?
Those who wish to sign up to this free scheme are given a film pack made up of four different DVDs. Each DVD has been carefully chosen by members of the Live & Local film team. The pack contains four notebooks and some thought-provoking questions/topics of conversations relating to each of the films. Participants can use the notebook and question prompts to write down some of their thoughts about the film they have seen as well as their name – a bit like a ‘visitors book.’ This is then passed onto each household along with the DVD as they are distributed amongst the community. We will advise if any of the films are also available on streaming services and encourage participants who are online to use the LockBusters website to discuss the films.
When your community has finished with the film pack, we will arrange for it to be returned to the Live & Local office.
