Live & Local’s community cinema project, Big Picture Show, came to town earlier this month with a sell out screening of the Christmas classic It’s A Wonderful Life. Monthly screenings will be held in the ballroom at the Court House in Warwick, which has recently re-opened after extensive restoration.
The beautiful venue was full to the brim with an audience of 80, including the Mayor of Warwick Councillor Prahhjit ‘Bob’ Dhillon, who were treated to mulled wine and festive treats, and had the opportunity to look around the Grade 1 listed 18th Century building.
Everyone laughed along with the classic film and left filled with the Christmas spirit. We would like to thank our dedicated local volunteers, who ran every part of the evening, from choosing the film to promoting the event and acting as the glamourous hosts for the night.
The next screening will be dress up, sing-along classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Friday 10 January. Tickets are available online here or from the Warwick Visitor Centre – be sure to snap them up, the It’s A Wonderful Life sold out very quickly!
Big Picture Show: Warwick is run in association with Unlocking Warwick and is supported by funding from The King Henry VIII Endowed Trust, Warwick.
