Arts on our Doorstep: Hatton Park Art Festival

Hatton Park Art Festival is an annual event that offers a friendly and encouraging atmosphere for local artists of all ages and abilities to display their work. A variety of media is exhibited with prizes in several categories awarded as a result of public voting.

This year’s festival took place on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 June and was opened by renowned local artist Trevor Boult. With funding support from Arts on our Doorstep the Festival Committee were able to enhance this years event including purchasing new display equipment and a new hanging system to allow them to display more exhibits, two permanent advertising banners and better quality posters to promote and encourage an increase in both exhibit and visitor numbers. Visitor comments included:

“Superb quality, wonderful community focus, very hospitable, brilliant work”

The organising committee felt that the event had been a great success and would endeavour to build on this success in future years.

Arts on our Doorstep is a Central Warwickshire Villages LEADER funded project that is run as a partnership between Live & Local and Warwickshire County Council, County Arts Service with Warwick District Council and Rugby Borough Council’s Arts Development Services.

The scheme aims to bring arts to the heart of rural communities in Warwick District and Rugby Borough by providing practical advice and support alongside resources up to the value of £5,000 to help local groups and individuals to organise exciting and innovative small arts projects within their community.
