Showcasing some of the fantastic performances on offer this autumn

To celebrate the launch of our Autumn Season of shows we organised three special showcase performances, one in each County. This was a chance to invite Promoters, Local Authority Officers and Councillors, representatives from arts and community organisations and local people to get together and enjoy a fantastic show with us. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to meet some of the people who had come along from the local communities. The shows represented some of the most exciting and diverse performances from our current programme, including a Shakespearian Comedy performed in the round by a Zimbabwean Theatre Company, a contemporary dance show from Cornwall, and a dark and intriguing thriller from Oxfordshire Theatre Company.

We would like to say a special thank you to the promoters at Kingstone Village Hall, Ashover Parish Hall and Church Lawford Village Hall who helped to make all of the events such a success, and of course thank you to the Companies for giving such fantastic performances.

If you missed these events, there are lots more great shows coming up, have a look at our website, www.liveandlocal.org.uk, to find out what’s happening in your area.
