Live & Local’s annual Promoter Meetings took place in March at the Crich Glebe Field Centre in Derbyshire, Church Lawford Village Hall in Warwickshire and Colwich and Little Haywood Village Hall in Staffordshire. There was a fantastic turnout at all of the meetings and a great atmosphere. As well as the usual rituals of introducing the new Menu and comparing notes on shows past and present, there were some interesting discussions about the possibilities of developing a fully online Menu of shows and how to make a case for continued funding in difficult times. We also enjoyed some really exciting performances by Ginny Davis, Cotton Grass Theatre and Nachda Sansaar. A big thank you to everyone who came along, it was lovely to catch up with familiar faces and welcome new recruits and I hope that an informative, fun and useful evening was had by all.
